Weddings
Deeply personal weddings
Our adored Georgian manor house sits amongst the rolling hills of Somerset, an enchanting country setting to celebrate with your family and friends. From indoor, outdoor and religious ceremonies, to golden cocktail hours on the sun-drenched lawn, and late nights in the Coach House – everything is possible at Pennard House.
Weekend & Weekday Weddings
Stay as little or as long as you like, there are no set rules at Pennard. We don’t hold weddings on consecutive days, so generally our couples takeover the house for two nights. But if you want to join us just for the day, or for one fabulous night – we’d love that too.
Civil ceremonies can be held in our indoor ceremony room, in the Garden Pavillion or in the village church at the bottom of the garden. For ceremonies, 120 guests can be accommodated outdoors and in the village church, and up to 95 seated guests in our indoor ceremony room.
Gather in gardens after your ceremony for a sun-drenched drinks reception. Sip and savour the moment whilst enjoying canapés on the terrace, and toast to your new adventure as a married couple.
Our chefs work closely with you to design a menu of gourmet canapés and beautiful three course meals, fun sharing platters and evening pizzas to keep you dancing.
As the sun sets, make your way to The Coach House for your wedding breakfast and reception. The 18th century stone building seats up to 120 guests upstairs, with room for more later in the evening.
Downstairs in the Coach House, you’ll find a dance floor, bar and plenty of space for live music.
Exclusively yours to use as if it were your own. With 13 beautiful bedrooms, an array of large reception rooms, and sweeping grounds and gardens for you to explore.
Gather in the dining room for a welcome dinner with your nearest and dearest and toast to the exciting day ahead before you turn in.
Event Directors
From your initial enquiry and planning, right up to looking after you and your suppliers on the big day, our Event Directors are here to support you every step of the way.

Religious ceremonies can be held in The Church of All Saints at the bottom of our garden. Licensed civil ceremonies can be held inside the House or in the Garden Pavillion.
Yes, absolutely. We don’t do back-to-back weddings, so most of our guests stay for two nights. You will have exclusive use of the 13 bedrooms in the house.
Most of our couples come and stay the night before the wedding, allowing them to decorate The Coach House the night before.
